Wegen einer Inkompatibilität des Bootsplash-Systems mit dem in UCS-Systemen vor 2.0 verwendeten Bootloader 

LILO kann es bei der Installation von Kernel-Security-Updates zu folgendem Fehler kommen:

You already have a LILO configuration in /etc/lilo.conf

Auf UCS-Systemen, die noch mit dem Bootloader LILO betrieben werden, muss deshalb einmalig 

folgender Befehl aufgerufen werden:

dpkg-divert --rename \
--divert /usr/share/initramfs-tools/bootsplash.debian \
--add /usr/share/initramfs-tools/hooks/bootsplash

Generell ist es empfehlenswert Installationen auf Grub zu migrieren. Eine Anleitung findet sich
